Recover revenue attribution when checkout misses the visitor ID

Connect more of your payments to their first visit, even when a checkout cannot carry the visitor ID. The optional email fallback gives Stripe Payment Links, Elements and other payment flows a recovery path alongside your existing metadata setup.
Enable it for a site in Settings → Integrations, then call the thank-you-page snippet with the buyer’s email. Stripe and Polar use the payment email when available. Your own server can send the optional email field through the Payments API. A resolved visitor ID always takes priority, and repeated payment imports keep the attribution already recorded.
The setup view shows payments attributed through metadata, payments linked through email, missing visitor IDs and IDs without a matching visit. Each unresolved state includes a next step, so a carried ID alone no longer looks like successful attribution.
Default cookieless matching stays within the purchase’s UTC day. An email link can recover that day’s first-touch when ingestion arrives later. It does not create a journey across days. Cookie mode can preserve a longer first-touch when both the captured link and your current site use that mode.
See revenue by campaign in Channels → Campaign. Newly attributed payments keep source, medium and campaign together. Older uncaptured campaign values remain empty.
Email fallback is off by default. Links use site-specific keyed hashes, expire after 30 days, and are deleted when you turn the feature off. Decide when to send buyer data and give visitors the information your setup requires.
